Hilary Fingerman is a kind, positive and affirming clinician who takes a client-centered and strengths-focused approach to therapy. Hilary seeks to create a safe and accepting space in which her clients can discuss their vulnerabilities and struggles. Hilary operates within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework, working with her clients to explore and adjust their thoughts and beliefs in order to live more effective and joyful lives.
Hilary has experience working with young adults, professionals, couples, and families. She has worked with people navigating transitions, suffering from depression and anxiety, and who have experienced trauma. Hilary also enjoys seeing clients who are exploring their sexuality, sex and relationships, and wanting to improve communication.
Hilary earned a BFA in Musical Theatre performance at Wright State University. She entered a graduate program at the University of Kentucky in Social Work in the fall of 2021. Her background in acting provided a foundation for understanding relationships, communication, and the human experience .
