Daniela Zermeno is an clinician with tremendous warmth. She really makes people around her feel cared for. Daniela's areas of emphasis are identity exploration, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression and self-esteem. She has a particular interest in empowering BIPOC clients to reclaim their stories.
Daniela approaches the therapeutic relationship with nonjudgement, care and curiosity. She believes people have an intrinsic capacity for growth and aims to provide a safe space to connect with that capacity. Daniela believes in building upon each client’s existing strengths to navigate life’s challenges. She supports her clients' autonomy and builds toward change through a collaborative relationship.
Daniela uses an integrative approach that is person-centered trauma-informed, feminist and systems-based. Her holistic approach is grounded in an appreciation for each client’s intersecting identities and the ways in which they are impacted by larger systems.
Daniela received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor’s in Psychology and Justice Studies from Northeastern Illinois University.
